Rx is a blasthaus gallery
and lounge which opened in 2003 to much acclaim by
offering a new approach to merging art and life.
By acknowledging originality and innovation within contemporary art practice, Rx
provides both a conduit for artistic expression as well as a social space connecting artists
and audiences.
Gallery exhibitions and projects realized at Rx are often unconventional
and yet very contemporary in thought and execution. Rx embraces a broad range of work
including painting, photography, sculpture, video, installation,
mechanical / robotic works,
computer/net-based art, sound / noise, light art, and
performance.
Rx aims to provides a fertile petri dish for the exploration and understanding of contemporary
art with a strong emphasis on new media.
Rx has also become a social epicenter for the
community, with weekly events aimed at creating new paradigms for entertainment in an energetic,
yet relaxed environment.
